We want to hear from you!!

The Indiana House Republicans are fighting for a 1% cap on homeowner's tax bills here in Indiana. Considering the massive property tax increases many Hoosiers saw in 2007, House Republicans are confident this Republican tax cut will make a big difference.

And we want you to help us make our case. We know that Hoosiers have suffered from thousands of dollars in extra taxes. Some are having trouble paying their bills, some may be forced to sell their home. Tell us how the property tax increases have hurt you. Also tell us how reducing your tax rate to only 1% of your home's value will help.

Republicans want to hear from you. Leave YOUR story in the comments.

I really appreciate this move to hear our stories. I have family members that feared they would loose their home after the unbelievable increases in property taxes.

A property tax cut would mean that my parents could still own their home.

With a property tax cut I'll be able to keep my home.

All I know is that my bill nearly tripled! And then the Mayor raised my income tax by 65%! Anything to get my property taxes down would be a great thing!

I don't care who passes tax reform- Democrat or Republican. Just get it done.

My tax bill costs me roughly $500/month. A 50% tax cut will be enough for me to purchase a new car to replace my old beater.
